Community Reminders from the Bridgeville Police Department
 

Ordinances have been approved for our community to keep our neighborhoods safe.  From time to time we'll publish ordinances here to help keep residents "in the know."

Fireworks are illegal by state law and local ordinance, please refrain from discharging fireworks within the borough. If discovered, you will be subject to a fine ranging from $25.00 and $300.00 and your fireworks will be confiscated.

Skateboarding Ordinance

PA State Dog Laws require all dogs to be leashed and under control when out on a public street or sidewalk. Also, make sure that dogs are maintained properly in yards with food, water and basic shelter needs. Triangle pet assists borough residents when there is an animal complaint, they can be reached at (412) 771-7387.

Just a reminder to all residents and persons that work in Bridgeville Borough; The Bridgeville Police Department will finger print you for security clearances and employment requests. This service is free to all residents and persons working within the borough. All applicants must adhere to the following; They must make an appointment to be finger printed, they must bring with them a recent driver's license or U.S. Passport to validate who they are, lastly, they must bring the fingerprint cards needed to be fingerprinted on. We do not provide them.

Also, residents are reminded of our "Operation Kid ID" program offered here at the police department for all resident children. We offer fingerprinting and photographing of all borough kids aged 3 through 17. We will take a digital photo for you and fingerprint the child for your record keeping. Notice to all residents: If you see drug activity report it! Call (412) 221-6052 ext 26 to report it or dial 911 and someone will respond and investigate.
